M33 High Resolution Color Mosaic

 

The M33 color mosaic was assembled in Photoshop from 27 separate frames taken with an ST10XME,

12.5" RC and FSQ106. Cumulative exposure time was approximately 21 hours. The color data included several

hours of exposure time using a hydrogen alpha filter to reveal the numerous HII regions along the spiral arms.

The central frames had a raw FWHM of 1.8 arcsec.
